Popular Tutoring Questions

We work with students and young professionals at every level. Whether you are in elementary school, high school, college, or stepping into your career, if you feel like there are gaps in your foundation or skills you never got to develop, Philos is for you.

Right now we offer tutoring in three areas: Writing, Reading, and Mathematics. We work with all levels, so whether your student is just starting out or needs help at an advanced level, we have them covered.

Most tutoring services focus only on grades. We focus on the full picture. Yes, we strengthen the academic foundation, but we also develop the skills school rarely teaches: how to think clearly, communicate well, and show up with confidence when it counts outside the classroom.

Simple. Book a free consultation and we will take it from there. No pressure, no commitment. Just a conversation about where you are and how we can help.

We start with a free consultation to understand where you or your student are and what you actually need. From there, sessions are personalized around specific goals and paced to match the learner, not a generic curriculum.

All of them. From kindergarten through college and into early professional life. Strong fundamentals matter at every stage, they just look different depending on where you are.

LEVEL UP YOUR
Durable Human SKILLS

Durable skills are the abilities that go beyond academics. Things like how you communicate, how you think through a problem, how you connect with others, and how you handle pressure. They are called durable because they do not expire. They travel with you from school to college to career and everywhere in between.

Students and young professionals who feel like they have the academic side covered but something is still missing. If you have ever walked out of a room wishing you had spoken up, struggled to articulate your ideas, or felt underprepared for a real world situation, these programs are for you.

Absolutely. Like any skill, they improve with the right guidance and consistent practice. Most people were never taught these skills in the first place, which is exactly why we built programs around them.

We focus on the skills that actually move the needle: clear thinking, effective communication, collaboration, confidence, and adaptability. These are the abilities employers look for, professors notice, and life rewards.

Tutoring fixes the current assignment. We build the student who won’t need the tutor. Our coaches don’t do homework with your child — they build the thinking, writing, and self-management skills that make the homework easier. The results compound long after the program ends.
